His mother's name is Rhodie Brown. Arthur Gorham was one of Raleigh's first black postal workers and he was also a barber living on East Lenoir Street near the Raleigh Memorial Auditorium near Shaw University. Their daughter, Addie, was an educator, singer, poet and pianist. She lived past 100. I am having a problem locating the William Wesley and Annie Gorham branch of the Gorham family that moved to New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut in the early 1900's from Raleigh.
