George Gorham--interesting. My ggg grandfather had the same name (middle name Raymond, his mother's maiden name). No direct connection, apparently, with your George, though, because "my" Gorhams have been in America since the early 1600s (shortly after the Mayflower; in fact, George's ancestor John Gorham married the daughter of two Mayflower passengers (Desire Howland was born to John Howland and Elizabeth (Tilley) Gorham)).
