The only William born in Vermont in 1824 that I can place is William Densmore Gorham. He is listed in the censuses as Densmore. According to some info I got off of the internet he was born in Kirby VT on July 14, 1824 to William Gorham (of Yarmouth Mass) and Rachel Wilcox . I don't know how accurate this is. William Densmore married Abigail M Gleason and they were in Kirby at least up to 1880. If this sounds promising then I can try to help you dig up more info. My great grandparents were Stonewall Volney Jackson Gorham and Allie May Gilkison , however, my grandmother was adopted by her first cousin, Lola Brothers DeHaas , when she was an infant and was raised by her.
