She and I were married at a very young age, and she divorced me while I was away in the Army. I never knew what had happened to her from 1962 until last year, 2003. I also noticed her brother, Bob had died at only 53. I would greatly appreciate any information on these two. Also I noticed Suzan's mother, Jenny has no closing date on her grave, record's show her dying in Dec.1995. Thanks, Gerald Hodges

John and Jennett Williamson Gorham were very wealthy at the time of John's death. I wonder how they were able to gather vast amounts of land and great wealth? And what happened for his son's to become poor in youoth? Did her new husband (Henly) take all of their father's estate and money? Could this be the reason the boys were called orphans and placed in the care of Sanford or Thomas Gorham? I am confused!!! about this family. Try John Clark Gorham or Sanford Gorham trees that on the net and get back with me. One John Gorham research site has our family going back to the 1st colonies in America. We are related, just need to weed out the correct line. You may contact me direct. Janice

They only had the one child Thomas Gorham in 1794. She went on to marry again to a Henley. At any rate, it is this John Gorham I am stumped on, where or who he comes from although some have emailed me ideas. Have reason to believe he may have been born in North Carolina. I am searching for a Gorham family of Scottish ancestry that possibly lived in the Midwest. The Father is listed as a prominent grain broker (this would have been late 1800's to late 1920's) with a daughter who was 32 years old in 1927 (she would have been born approximately 1895) and had attended 3 years of college. Does any of this information correspond with any of your Gorham family lines? Any help would be most appreciated. Michele Wiley mwiley@alaska.net Anchorage, Alaska
