"Remembrances of the Civil War" is a book written by General John Brown Gordon. It was reprinted in 1993 with an Introduction by Ralph Lowell Eckert of Penn State Erie, The Behrend College. This is an excellent first hand report of the battles between the North and South. There is not much family history. The foot notes in the introduction are there for further reading.
