Hello Gordon researchers: I am searching for family information on: Hannah Gordon who married on 16 Apr 1848 to William A. Flood at Greene Street Methodist Church, New York City. >From census records Hannah must have been 13-14 at that time. >From the Family Bible, Children were: 1849 - Gae Kary Flood (as best as we can read the writing), 1850 - William A. Flood Jr. There is no location associated with these first two births. Gae Kary died about 1851 and we are uncertain about William A. Jr. Next to be born was Joseph Collis Flood, my grandfather, born 8 Sept 1854 in Murphys Camp (a gold mining camp) in California. Then came Robert, born in Valparaiso about 1856 - there are three entries in the bible on Robert - no state, no country, just Valparaiso. Jenette (Nettie) was born in San Francisco, CA, 3 Oct 1859, Hariet in 1860 (Hariet died early in 1862. Hannah died in childbirth on 1 Jan 1862. I found nothing in the IGI for a Hannah Gordon about the time she should have been born in New York. I am wondering whether she was born elsewhere and that was not recorded. Any help from you Gordons would be most appreciated. I can happily give you the family in California. Margie
