    3. Looks like everyone has a "George A." or "George Alexander" Gordon floating around their family tree somewhere....guess I'll throw mine back into the ring for another round. My George Alexander Gordon shows up in the census of Plattsburg, NY in 1850 and 1860. He fathered possibly three children that we are aware of: Lewis/Louis, Myra/Mira, and Francis Archibald Gordon (my greatgrandfather. What became of him after the 1860 census we have no idea. Knowing the time frame of Francis Archibald's birth in Plattsburg on February 18, 1863, we put our George Alexander's birth somewhere in the 1830's. The only other fact that we have is that his mother's name was Matilda Boyd. There is also a possibility that George migrated from Maskinonge, Quebec, Canada, but no documented proof has been found.
