Hurston, Where did you find that book? I sure would like a copy or at least read it. Some of my Gordons fought in Kings Mountain too and ours may be the same family of Gordons. Mine lived in Union Co. SC after the Rev. war and moved to Franklin Co. GA via Pickens District, SC in the 1840s. See my website below: David > Date: Wed, 23 May 2001 11:08:48 -0400 > From: "L. David: My Gordon line orginated in Scotland in Banff/Aberdeen, but that is as far back as I can go. Wonder if your branch and mine are from the tree. The dates and places coincide, but all I have is Alexander, from NorthEast Scotland, abt 1630, and a son Samuel who came to US with 2 brothers (date unknown, debarkation point unknown). Check out MY line at: The Branches of Bill Gordons' Family Tree http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=cwgordon TIA :-] bg
