I found this bit of info in my paper files. It was sent to me a number of years ago. Unfortunately I do not know the source. Does anyone out there know where this came from? "The settlers between the Enoree and the Tyger petitioned the SC Presbytery on Sept. 24,1794 to be taken under its care and supplied a minister. In the early days of the church the congregation consisted of these families---Otterson, Dugan, Crenshaw, Gordon, Johnson, Valentine, Buford, Caldwell, and Hamilton. Maj. Otterson and Maj.
