According to the Revolutionary War Widows Pension Application of Charity Kind, widow of Chapman Gordon, her son George W.(Washington) Gordon lived in Columbia, Tennessee in 1859. The application also states that Charity herself moved to Maury Co., Tennesssee in 1858 "with grandchildren--no names stated." Charity King and Chapman Gordon were grandparents of CSA General John Brown Gordon. CSA General James Byron Gordon was a cousin.
