Jim Gordon writes- < John Wesley --- That is a copy of the typescript in the DAR Library in DC. Their copy has a page in it referring to an "errata page," which is apparently missing from their copy. Does your copy have it?> Nope, and there are erased marginal notations, too. <Where did you get your copy?> >From Higginsonbook.com -Oral history in my family says a book, perhaps titled "Gordons of York co. Maine" was privatly published in the 40's by a family member. This is not that book, evidently. But hey, you have to try, right? Miss Cobb's book seems to be mostly concerned with the Gordon line of Alexander and Mary (Lysson) Gordon's fifth son, Thomas. My first post ended with a list of A & M's eight children, my next post will be a list of who those 8 married, and Miss Cobb's comments on their children. Who were killed by Indians? Who married the boss's daughter? Stay tuned! :O) <I think that I may have tracked down my elusive John Gordon, husband of Elizabeth, widow of York, ME in 1744.> Great Jim! Thanks for all your great help and hints. John Wesley Gordon ( Gordon & Maddox roots in Kennebunk, Maine )
