Co., G MS infantry of 10,000 1861-1862. Served in Army Northern, VA. Wounded in battle of Franklin, TN. Died in Memphis, TN 6/23/1865 from wounds. Burial place unknown. His name and dates of birth and death are on his mother's headstone in the Old Methodist Church Cemetery, Chickasaw Count, MS. The book follows descendants of John and Ruth Gordon. Pat Spencer
