    2. I have a bit more info on Tom and Henry Gordon, that served with General Custer. Henry Gordon was in co. M 7th US Cavalry, under Major Reno. A Private, killed by a shot in the neck while climbing the bluffs during the retreat on June 25, 1876. Born in Chatam, England. Enlisted on Dec. 5,1872, at age 21 in Boston by Captain Moses Harris. Previous occupation was laborer. He had brown eyes, brown hair, fair complexion and was 5`-6" tall. Listed as Henry Gordon on the main battle monument at Custer's Hill. Thomas A. Gordon , a private, was in co. K, Under Captain Benteen. Born in Boston Mass. Enlisted Sept 26, 1873, at age 22, in Boston by Lieut. James Ropes. Previous occupation was laborer. Discharged on Sept. 26, 1878 at Camp R. Williams, Nebraska upon expiration of service, as a Private of very good character. He had grey eyes, black hair, dark complexion and was 5`6 1/2" tall. In 1927 he lived on George St. Mendon, Massachusetts. Ron Gordon.
