Ann, Do you happen to know if there were other siblings. I am desperately hunting the parents of my g-g-grandfather, George Alexander Gordon, who was born in 1822 in Georgia. He was on the Scott Co. MS 1850 census, had moved to Cherokee Co., TX by 1857 and died in Bosque Co., TX in the 1880's.
