    3. As follows is my great-grandmother and her then 8 sons immigration to America. My great-grandfather John Gordon arrived in West Liberty in 1862 and two years later sent for his family. G-Grandmother and her sons immigrated from Liverpool, England and landed at the Port of New York on the ship City of New York June 14, 1864. The family rode steerage. Passenger information: Elizabeth (Kelley) Gordon, age 40; Martin Gordon, age 18, laborer; Patrick Gordon, age 16, laborer; Thomas Gordon, age 14, laborer; John Gordon, age 7; James Gordon, age 6; Christopher Gordon, age 5; Peter Gordon, age 4; and William Gordon, age 3. Eight hundred thirty-four (834) steerage passengers boarded the CITY of NEW YORK in Liverpool. Twenty-five (25) of the passengers died on the voyage to America and were presumably buried at sea. Most of the deceased were very young children. My grandmother Mary Elizabeth (Gordon) Roll was born in West Liberty in 1867 and her youngest brother Michael was born in 1869. I would like to correspond with any person relative to my Gordon family. Tom Roll
