Arvid, Your letter really caught my interest because I also have a grandfather named James H. Gordon who was supposed to be bro. of John B. Gordon and I found out that he wasn't!! The James H. Gordon who really was bro. of John B. was married to Caroline Gwyn in Wilkesboro NC in 1823 and moved to Gordon Springs Ga (Walker co.) and later moved to Huntsville Ala. Their children are 1. My James Harvey Gordon was m. to Elizabeth Lacey prob. in Williamsburg SC in early 1820's had children Wright b. 1822, Harvey b. 1832, and Hardy b. 1835.
