No, I believe your right, as on the Frederick Co., Maryland Federal Census of 1860 he stated that he was born in Maryland. I know there is a book in the genealogy section of Wichita Public Library, and he and Margaret are listed in a book about Frederick County, Maryland, he was a farmer and one of his daughters was getting married.
