Hi, all, Hoping to find the family & wife of, as well as connect to others descended from David GORDON, Sr., who d. 1848 or 1849 in Boone Co., MO. David's wife is unknown to me at this point; he first patented land in Boone in 1824, moving from an unknown KY Co. He may have been born anywhere, though I suspect VA, SC or NC. Within 15 years, David had patented nearly 1,000 acres in Boone Co., and built a large plantation house that survived until 1998 [when it was burnt by an arsonist, I have heard...] David's will named the following children and grandchildren: Sons, David GORDON Jr., Charles W. GORDON, George W. GORDON, James M. GORDON, John B. GORDON; grandsons Weillington [sic] GORDON [apparently, son of John B. {dec'd.?}]; other children of John B. GORDON, their mother, Sophia GORDON; daughters, Polly CLARK, Elizabeth DOTY, Emily GUITAR, Jane AUSTIN I am descended from Jane GORDON, b. 1821/22, KY; m. 1839, Boone Co., MO, William W. AUSTIN, b. VA. William's family is undentified as of yet. Jane & William's children were: Mary Ann AUSTIN, b. 1839/40 David Jones AUSTIN, b. April, 1841 Virginia AUSTIN, b. 1843/44 Leonora AUSTIN, b. 1845/46 William AUSTIN, b. 1846/47 Theodosia B.
