Hi listers! Thanks for all the welcoming emails! Here's the info I'm starting with- over 30 years ago, my Great Aunt Winnie told me the first Gordons in our line were 4 brothers, Mark, Matthew, Luke and John, who came over from Scotland. In the great fire of '47 in Maine the family homestead was burned down, a total loss, with all of her Grandfather's Civil War things lost. Sometime prior to WW2, a privatly published family history was printed. Possibly called 'Gordons of York Co. Maine'. My Grandparents, Ray Logan Gordon and Maybelle Mae Maddox were married in Sanford Maine in 1919. At least that's what I think the 9 year old me heard :O) here's what's on the stones at Kennebunk Pond, Maine George Gordon Co. K 32 Me Inf ( a civil war stone ) Winne B.
