Ihave found my great grandfathers citizenship papers. His name was john Gordon and he became an American Citizen in 1876 He Applied for citizenship in 1866. The papers say he was granted citizenship in the county of New York in the state of newyork which would be nyc. My question is where would I get the original application and court documents regarding his citizenship. Who would I contact. Also I read on roots web that there is a book out there regarding the Gordons in Ireland . If anyone has that info I would appreciate help Locating that book. Sincerely Yours , Robert Gordon
