Would anyone have a William B. Gordon in their line who, according to census, was born abt. 1801 in NC? Was in Rhea Co. , TN (east TN) by early 1820s. In area also, was a John Gordon and a George Gordon, but do not know of any connection at this time. William B. Gordon married Margaret Rogers, daughter of James and Anna Blair Rogers in 1824 in Rhea Co., TN. They had possibly 3 children, but only know of Jane who married W.S. Gilliam in Rhea Co. and Eleanor who married Hardin Otha Green. All of these families are in Overton Co., TN by 1850. Putnam Co., TN is then created partly from Overton and they are in Putnam Co., TN by 1860. William B. and Margaret are dead by early to mid 1870s in Putnam Co., TN. Would appreciate any clues as to what NC Gordon family this William B. Gordon may have come from. Thanks, Greg
