If you are researching Chapman Gordon's line, there is a wonderful article in the Confederate Veteran (a huge collection of books available in most larger libraries) written by Sarah Chapman Gordon- Law. It is a pamphlet written for her nieces and nephews detailing her experiences as "The Mother of the Confederacy". A nickname she earned for her tireless efforts as a nurse and humanitarian during the C/W. There is even a picture of her in the article.
