The "GenConnect" service of RootsWeb has a growing number of forum-style boards where people can post queries and discuss genealogical issues. A new board has just been created for the GORDON surname. To get to it, you can go to http://www.rootsweb.com and click on "GenConnect" in the left sidebar, or to go directly there, http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/surnames/gor/Gordon Those of you with Gordon-related websites might also want to link to this URL. GenConnect is similar to GenForum, but without the advertising :-). It is also unique in the ability for you to be directly notified by an e-mail message if someone responds to your post. In other words, you don't have to keep checking back. Also, if you include your surnames in the appropriate box when making your query, it all ends up in the master Rootsweb database where it can be searched for, etc. Give it a try -- let's see if we can track down more of those elusive Gordon ancestors! -- Doug Gordon (board administrator)
