Hi, I am descended from the Gordons list in the Deep South book through Govin Gordon. He had land in Union Co. SC that bordered Posey Gordon which he sold before moving to Jones Co. SC between 1806-1815 per the book. After Govin died in 1815 his wife, 2 daughters and Govin Gordon, Jr. moved to Green Co., AL. Govin's daughter Violet married James Chandler and was one of the two daughters who moved to Green Co. Maybe there is pattern to their migrations.
