Pat Spencer: You mention several things in your recent post that catch my interest. First, what is the book "Gordon's of the Deep South." My Gordon line began in South Carolina, then went to ALabama, Mississippi, Arkansas and finally to Illinois during the Civil War. I am surely interested in finding someone who has this book so that I might request a couple of quick lookups. Secondly, you say your gg-grandfather is John H. Gordon. If he was a physician in Bond county Illinois (b.1842 in AL, d.1929 in IL) then I have much information for you and we are related. Bill Gordon
