    3. Ann, This is trial 3 - there have already been 2 other trials. This one is for producing PDFs of *non-digitalised* certificates. I assume birth certificates have been digitalised up to (and including) 1934. The supply of PDFs of digitalised certs was in trial 1, when they were available for £6. If the trials go as expected we can presumably expect PDFs available at these prices in the future, but I think part of the reason for the trials is to check costs. If we're lucky they will have taken less effort than expected and the prices will be lower. I've no idea how long it will take to get a regular service started after the trials - I don't know if anyone does?
