The Federation is looking for volunteers to help with their stand at the Stitching, Sowing and Hobbycrafts Show at ExCel, London on 22 April – see the email below. If anyone is interested in helping, please email me and I will pass on your offer to the Federation. Peter Copsey Your Fed Rep. From: Emma Waltham Sent: Thursday, March 23, 2017 11:30 AM To: Peter Copsey Subject: 22 April ExCeL Hobbycrafts - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! Dear Member Family History Society The Federation of Family History Societies has been fortunate to be awarded a free-of-charge stand at the Hobbycrafts Fair at ExCeL in April. We have done this fair several times and find it very worthwhile. Ian Whaley, a member of the FFHS Publicity Subcommittee has always managed the event for us, co-ordinating the event with the help of volunteers from societies. Ian has secured enough volunteers for the Thursday and Friday, but only has two for Saturday 22nd April - the busiest day. Could your society help and send a volunteer or two on the Saturday? It's a great opportunity to promote your own society - as well as FFHS - to a group of hobbyists that may be new to family history, but very interested in it. Volunteers would only need to attend until 3 pm. We'd very much like to continue to attend this event, but we will only be awarded a free-of-charge stand if we can be seen to manning it sufficiently! If you could come back to me by Friday 7 April to let me know if you can help, that would be much appreciated. I look forward to hearing from you.
