Gosh, that's amazing - I live just down the road from there and great-grandparents lived in Harborne Road. What number, does it say? i would love to have a look at it - and then I can pass it on to the Archives Lesley Lambourne -----Original Message----- From: June Willing Sent: Monday, March 27, 2017 11:50 AM To: goons@rootsweb.com Subject: [G] Lease Hi All I have been having a clear out and have come across a parchment document which I no longer need. It was given to me by a Guild member some years ago. I had thought it related to a family I was related to, but as it turns out, it is not. It is a building lease dated 1888. The property in question is at Harborn Road, Edgbaston, Warwickshire. The owner of the land was Frederick Henry William Calthorpe, Lord Calthorpe of Calthorpe, Norfolk. The lease is going to Richard Hartland Vertegans of Edgbaston. It consists of two large sheets of parchment, one of which is is rather poor condition, although most of it is legible. If anyone would like to have this I will send it to them at no charge. If not, I will donate it to Birmingham Archives.
