Steve Image exists on ancestry for Bicker, Lincolnshire for twins William and Priscilla, quite a different date: 6th Dec 1830, father's occupation cottager for both. Nothing similar looking in December 1840. Bicker 8 Dec 1840 baptised Priscilla Hempshall (twin) father Henry Hempshall, carpenter mother Priscilla SAME DATE baptised William Hempshall, (twin) father Henry Hempshall cottager mother Priscilla The discrepancy of the father's occupation could be (a) an error by the vicar (b) a correction by Henry in the middle of the transaction, being unhappy with being described as a mere cottager (c) a whimsical attempt on the part of the vicar and /or the father to show that he could be described as either cottager or carpenter (d) a mistranscription by the recent freereg volunteer Which is most likely - and has anyone come across something similar with twin baptisms?
