A few emails on this forum ten days or so back discussed the trouble I was having locating a particular marriage within Norwich registration district and the apparent rather strange approach to alphabetical ordering of parishes within an RD. A kindly correspondent consulted some microfilm for me at the Millennium Library in Norwich and has confirmed that the marriage of John Howes and Mary Periment took place at Christ Church, New Catton. You may recall that the page number of the marriage is in a sequence between St Benedict parish and St Clement within Norwich RD. This particular church was like a branch office (I'm sure there's a proper technical term but I don't know it!) of St Clement parish and thus it seems that that is the reason it appears next to St Clement in the alphabetical order of parishes. Next year when I'm back in Norfolk, I will record the cardinal points for this and a few other more obscure parishes/churches to try to make Norwich marriage lookups a lot simpler for everyone.
