Hi One-Namers everywhere How often do you look at the census and can't make out a street name? A hint for you when this happens is find a neighbouring street you can read, then do a lookup on Google maps, then you can search the surrounding streets for the one you want. This works well especially when you are following the US Federal census where the street names are written up the left-hand margin of the form, they are best read by rotating the image if possible or rotating your computer 90 degrees to the right in doing so, knocking everything on your neat little desk flying in all directions. I recently had a most annoying case where images of registers of Master Mariners held at the LMA they or whosoever copied the documents with no regard to the rotation of the pages including one page that was inverted, of course if you are a contortionist and can type while standing on your head it'll be ok for you. Unless it is central Leeds (Yorkshire (ENG)) or Bolton (Lancashire (ENG)) which seem to have changed somewhat <grin>. My Great Grandfather was born under what became the International Swimming Pool in Leeds - since demolished itself to be replaced by a car-park. Chris
