Hello out there I've recently signed up to the Guild, and I've collected a lot of data (via Ancestry.co.uk) over the past 10 years on UK folk with the surname Hartwell (My colleagues in the USA are even better organised) I'd like some ideas on how best to turn this into something of use to other researchers. I'm not particularly keen on retyping details for hundreds of Hartwells from GED into html Ideas and suggestions are welcomed / and any details of notable Hartwells you may have encountered. Neil Welcome to the Guild. You've already been given some good advice. I would also recommend that you download a copy of the Members' Handbook so that you have it handy on your PC or mobile device. This will also make it easier for you to click through to all the links. On the final page (page 35 in the PDF) there is a very helpful one-name study plan. I would suggest that you start by looking at the distribution of your surname and getting some idea of its frequency.
