    1. [G] Griffith's Valuation - maps
    2. Fíona Tipple via
    3. FindMyPast has just added maps to its Griffith’s Valuation set. I’ve had a quick look - they’re not easy to find! - and the important thing is that these are the *original or near original maps*, as they were drawn up by Griffith’s surveyors. Previously these maps were available only through the Origins website, which was acquired by Bright Solid earlier this year. The maps accompanying other published versions of GV (on AskAboutIreland, for instance) are later than these - clearer, but later. What I haven’t worked out yet is how to *find* them on FMP. I used the link on FMP’s message about them first - no problem - but I don’t yet know how to link to them from the results page. I assumed there would be a link, but if there is, I haven’t found it yet! Fiona — 5538 - Duignan & variants

    3. Hi Fiona From the home page > Search > A-Z of record sets. Put griffith's in the search box, to bring up two results, the Valuation, and the Maps and plans. This is the simplest way to find anything on FMP, in my opinion. 3. Ho, all, I've followed the instructions and have found The Valuations and The Maps and Plans, but neither of them actually shows the map. I have found my Great-great-grandfather John Glacken in Drumkee Townland and from that I have a choice of 2 icons, one a camera, which shows the valuation document and the other, a page type icon, which shows the transcription of that valuation. I can’t see the map anywhere. Can you help me?
