Brian The shipping manifest for outward passengers on the Grampian on ancestry is a bit ambiguous. George W, labourer is on image 973 apparently on his own, but on image 970 there is a 43 year old housewife called Lucy Attree also apparently travelling alone. Both British, travelling third class to Quebec both intending to stay permanently in Canada. Does that help or just confuse further? Can't see either of his sons on the manifest.
