I really enjoyed this little video that Ann recommended. It is sad to think how many family photographs will have been destroyed. As well as images of people - I have several portrait galleries of photographs of ancestors on my website - do my colleagues agree that it is important to have pictorial records of places too, particularly the insides of houses? It will be many years before anyone is really interested, but wherever I live I make a point of photographing the rooms in my home so that future generations can see how we lived in the 20th. and 21st. centuries.
