You should use FreeBMD for this. Go to this page - http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl and insert the search parameters. This means select "Marriages", select Easthamstead District (it is described as Easthamstead (to Mar 1937)), put in your Name GIMMETT in "Surname" and select the date range Sep 1837 to Dec 1911; Press Find.
