All, I have rarely dared to put thumb to keyboard on this forum, and you will all the more appreciate that, as soon as you have read this plea. I seek a RA O GK on behalf of Roy Keys, who is amongst many things the founder and administrator of British Isles DNA by County, a localised (UK) effort to do what National Geographic is trying to do on a planetary scale. The day is not long off when many of us will be consulting him as to comparative DNA instances throughout the Isles, thus tracking movements of families and groups. Roy is on the Committee of The Blaker Society and is at a loss as to how to proceed with his heraldry problem. He has approached Heralds at the Scottish, Canadian and Ulster Heraldry authorities and each time has failed to get further on his problem. The Keys family were plantation Scots in the 1600s and on; they had a Coat of Arms that arguably emanates from the MacKays. Roy has set up a Dropbox at http://tinyurl.com/mfmawt4 wherein anyone interested can see how he describes his problem. Your RA O GK is not to resolve the problem, but having read it, to direct him to someone you think might be helpful. Perhaps Christmas is , in a way , a good time for an RA O GK; anyway, I hope so; and so thank you to all and to all a Merry Christmas as well! Rod Blaker
