Hello everyone, I am finalising my list for the April Journal giving the Marriage Challenges that will be starting in the following weeks and months (Challenges starting between 21 April and 14 July). More volunteers are needed; the present list is a bit short. Why not give it a try? If you live within fairly easy reach of your County Record Office, you could be helping many other members with their Studies. You can generally claim back expenses from the Guild – max £15 per day travel costs. A Challenge can be tailored to make it as big as you feel comfortable with, just by limiting the span of the years to be searched. I can advise. Perhaps you would like to try a Challenge with the help of another Guild member that you know; or a friend or family member. Clearly the Challenge should not be for a Registration District that has been done recently and one where all the marriage registers are searchable on Ancestry, Findmypast etc. Not sure?
