[A second attempt to send this. Apologies if it arrives twice.] Hello everyone, Just to let requesters know that I have completed my repeat Thingoe RD Marriage Challenge 1837-1908. I found 238 of the 251 requested marriages - over 94%. This RD covers 46 small villages, so most people opted to marry in the village church. I use the pencil and paper method at the Archives, and record information straight on to faux certificates. To save the Guild postage costs, I have (rather inexpertly!) scanned the certificates for overseas requesters, and will attach them to emails. Please let me know if there are any problems receiving or downloading them. I shall post most of the UK certificates, and will email anyone whose requests I failed to find. If you expect a result, and haven't heard from me in the next couple of weeks, please contact me. As usual the results of the Challenge will be sent to the Guild Marriage Index. If you wish, please do pass on your results, scans etc. to the Vault and Worldwide marriage index. Kind Regards, Sandra Stevens (2320)
