Hi All, I have come across something of interest concerning a Petition for Naturalisation to USA, dated 28 June 1917 of a William MINGAY (yes my 'probelm guy') on which he has signed allegiance to the USA and added in 'handwritng', to King George V, King of England, Wales Scotland & Ireland. I must point out on the same petition it clearly states his occupation is that of a soldier, having 'enlisted' on the 14 June 1917. Logically I see that because of the wide variety of nationalities who emmigrated to the USA such a clause would be in order but have never seen it mentioned before, hence I thought it would be of some interest to others.
