Sometimes the first born son or daughter will have more names than subsequent children because they were family names they wished to commemorate and they may not have other children. This might also be the reason why girls receive male names and vice versa. Just found an Ernest Scott Jervis and Penelope Emma Tayleur having first child called Ernestine Emma Penelope and second Ernest C.S. (Scott), third Adela F. S. (Frances after wife's mother, followed again by Scott). I was only interested in proving that Ernestine was a second cousin and the executor of Alice Beatrice Leonie De Rosen Jervis who had died 1946 in Italy, so didn't need to trace Ernest Scott Jervis's descendants further.
