I have just discovered that a blue plaque has been erected on a house in Askew Road, Hammersmith, London, W12. This has come as a complete surprise to me as I can¹t understand who would have arranged this. Although I have found references to this plaque on several websites, none of them has a photo of this plaque. However, the inscription apparently reads as follows: 'Delhi Lodge. William Lovely fleet paymaster to the Royal Navy lived here 1887¹ The house is 1, Askew Road, Hammersmith, London, W!2 and from Google Streetview, it is situated next door to Tommy Flynn¹s bar, which is on the corner of Uxbridge Road and Askew Road. If any member of the Forum lives in this area, could I be cheeky and ask if they could take a photograph of the plaque for me? You will need a camera with a telephoto lens as the plaque is quite high on the building and there is a bus shelter on the pavement directly outside the house. I would be very grateful if someone could help me. Regards, Geoff Giles Leicester, UK LOVELY, LOVELEE, LOVELEY, LOVLEE, LOVLEY, LOVLY One Name Study GOONS #3463
