I would of course have immediately searched for an ADSHEAD And as you say there was one - "Betty" who (if she was birth registered as Betty) I have narrowed down to b.1916 (ie age 24 in 1940) FO Civilian, TA : Bletchley Park Air Section, Luftwaffe tactical codes However this Betty was married to James PRICE in 1939Q2 and does not appear in the 1939 register under either surname (perhaps such personnel were excluded ?)
