Hi Valerie, Easy answer, no. Reporting a death to the Registrar is usually done within a few days, even same day, whereas burial/cremation is commonly a week or two, although can be quicker. They are two quite separate processes, registration is a civil matter, burial can be but is still often part of a religious ceremony (even for non-religious people, especially if others in the family are so inclined).
