Thank you all very much. The evidence that this burial is of James Toogood, not Doogood, is compelling. This is not the first time this has happened! Toogood is not that common a surname, but it crops up sufficiently often to cause a problem. Sometimes it happens the other way round, too (or perhaps doo?). My mind is set at ease. John.
