    1. Re: [G] GRO Post-2005 BMD Transcription Project
    2. Sherlock Holmes
    3. Hi, I was unaware of this service or should I say possible service. My One Name Study surname is rare that being Grimason / Grimison and sometimes entered as Grimeson. There was a Grimason-Harris family once as well however I have reason to believe they have since dropped the Grimason and are now near impossible to trace. My own transcribed index of the BMD of England & Wales gores up to 2000 inclusive so anything post that will be new for me. I do check from time to time the online obituaries however again due to the surname being rare these are few and far between. So I would be very interested. I will be checking with the Auckland Public Library here in New Zealand to see if they do hold the post 2000 Micro Fiche, if they do then that is far cheaper than traveling to England by a long shot. Regards, David J Grimshaw (or is it Grimason?) Genealogical Researcher of the "Grimason" surname and variations of the "Grimason" surname World Wide. A One Name study registered with the Guild of One Name Studies (GOONS): 6138 formerly 2962 The "Sherlock Holmes" of this family according to some.
