    3. For those in travelling distance of Birmingham library, I would heartily recommend the facilities there. The fiche can be put under a scanner, scanned to a PDF and then e-mailed to yourself. I can even check on my Ipad/phone before I leave the library that the images are readable. I can then type the entries up at leisure at home - the whole process takes less than an hour and I tend to visit once a year. Paul Millington Member No. 2181

    3. I second Paul Millington's praise of the facilities in Birmingham. I scanned all the fiche into the same PDF files and downloaded them onto a thumb drive I did 7 or 8 years for my large-ish ONS with four variants in a day and a half last year between the Guild conference and WDYTYA. Typing them up is a task yet to be done, however!
