    1. Genealogical Notes on New York and New England Families
    2. Hello, I saw this book on eBay and thought some of the Goodrich family may be interested in it. The auction can be found at: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1787010498 Here is a description of the book from the auction site: You are bidding on Genealogical Notes of New York and New England Families by S. V. Talcott (compiler of "The Talcott Pedigree"). The book was published by Weed, Parsons and Co. of Albany, New York in 1883. There are MANY families which are detailed in this book. However, I will just list the main families covered from the Contents. Under New York families these families are found: BEECKMAN, BENSON, BOGART DOUW, DOX GERHARD, GROESBECK HUN LANSING MARSELIS, METSELAER-EGBERTS OOTHOUT QUACKENBUSH SALISBURY, SCHERMERHORN TEN EYCK VISSCHER, VAN BERGEN, VAN DEN BERGH, VAN DER BOGAERT, VAN DEUSEN, VAN DRIESSEN, VAN DER POEL, VAN NES, VAN SCHAICK, VAN VECHTEN, VINHAGEN WENDELL Under New England families, these families are also found: BENTON CHESTER, CROW DEMING EDWARDS, EGGLESTON FILER GILBERT, GOODWIN, GOODRICH HAMLIN, HOLLISTER, HOLYOKE LANMAN MARVIN, MOTT PYNCHON RATHBONE, REED, RUSSELL SHEARMAN - SHERMAN TREAT WELLES, WRIGHT Also found in the book are bible records from these families: BECKMAN, BENSON, BOGART, DE FOREST, DOUW, GREVENRADT, GROESBECK, HANSEN, HUN, LANSING, MARSELIS, OOTHOUT, QUACKENBUSH, ROSEBOOM, TEN BROECK, VAN DEN BERGH, VAN VECHTEN, WENDELL A transcription of burial records in the Reformed Dutch Church of Albany, New York for the years 1722 - 1757 is included in the genealogy. While the condition of the book is not pristine, the book is in decent condition for being nearly 120 years old. The cover is in the worst condition, being somewhat detached, splotched, &tc. Some pages are yellowed and marked. However, all in all, the pages are tight, clean, and very legible. It should be noted that the book was once owned by one Maria Visscher Wetherley and given as a gift to her grandson, Bruce W. Dayton. Maria inscribed the book to him and pasted a Christmas card to the inside of the cover as well. Also, obituaries of one Henrietta Visscher, who died in 1927 and was a teacher in Pasadena, California, are pasted in the memoranda section in the back of the book.
