Max was born on 11 Dec 1905 in Calhoun, Henry County, Missouri to Henry Charles and Elma A. (Shafer) Goodrich. He was a professor of Physics at LSU in Baton Rouge beginning in 1936 and was Dean of the Graduate school there between 1961 and 1973 when he retired. He passed away on 19 Sep. 1999 in East Lansing, Michigan. This wonderful man was my Grand-Uncle. It is because of him that am researching my family history. Over the years he had done quite a bit of work on both his paternal and maternal lines. I came into possession of copies of many of Max's charts, FGS, and notes, and was bit by the bug immediately. My main reason for writing this is that I am hoping one of his daughters is also into genealogy and sees this message. Lee Ann or Marna, if you see this please contact me.
