Emma also married Washington P Payne after Emmett's death. Emmett and Emma had five children: Maude E Goodrich (20 Apr 1901-22 Jan 1989) who married Willie R Moore. Clinton Goodrich (10 Dec 1903-October 1980) Roland Goodrich (1906-13 May 1956) Ola T Goodrich (9 Aug 1909- 21 Jun 2002) who married Howard Gittman. Mary Francis Goodrich (9 Aug 1912- 11 Nov 2001) who married Henry J Fisher. Emma also had a child with Washington Payne. His name was Gilbert Young Payne (02 Sep 1924-02 Dec 1994). I believe Emmett Goodrich had a marriage before Emma because of the age difference, and in a census record it states that he was married but with a 2 next to it. He was older than Emma by about 20 years. I have seen reference to Emma being from North Carolina specifically Vance, but I am not sure. I know they lived almost all their lives in the Hopewell-Petersburg, Virginia area. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
